A Script
Part 1 Scene 1

Preface: I always wanted to do a movie or a short film, this is one such attempt. This film of mine is narrating a story, and giving the reader a chance to visualise the script and scene, the emotion and dialogues will be totally mine, mmmmm to put it in a simple way, it will be my imaginations and my call, but your world. I will be narrating only a scene, so get ready let’s paint our world.

Storyline: A Loved one (Elder brother Vinayak) is sending something special from UK to his younger loved one (Shan), who’s in India through a friend (Radhakrishnan aka Rat Friend of Vinayak who is returning from UK). Shan is taking his friend DV along with him to collect the gift from the airport.
Characters Involved: Vinayak, Shan, Rat, DV, Random people at the airport.

Backdrop: International Arrival terminal. Specs for the backdrop: its 00.30 hrs and it’s a full moon day and the natures beauty is seen between the clouds, though its late night there are cabs honking, the street lights beaming, there are people waiting to receive their loved ones, there are coffee shops playing the radio, there are chairs for people to sit and a board flashing the Arrival of Flights.
(I have set the stage the colour of the characters and the colour of the backdrop is totally to The readers. Next comes the big thing in order to differentiate the dialogues and emotions, the dialogues are in Bold and the emotions in Italics).

Narration and dialogues:
(Shan and DV walk towards the International arrival terminal to meet Rat, on the way).
Dv: At what time is the flight supposed to arrive
Shan: at 1.30 am.
Dv: Then why are we so early (stops walking).
Shan: What if the flight comes early (with a tone of anxiety, and nodding his head showing a sign, saying Dv to continue walking).
Dv: Ya ya correct, might be all signals are green in the sky and the flight might land early.
Shan: Come on bro (trying to convince Dv).
(They go see the arrival boards and the flight is not yet arrived, Shan stands at the waiting lounge along with other people who are holding a board to receive people, while Dv finds a chair and sits). Dv: Dude the flight is not gonna land directly at the arrival, after the flight lands it’s gonna take time for your brother’s friend to come out, so please sit.
(Shan sits next to Dv, with his shoulders leaning in front, as if he would run at once, while Dv stretches his legs).
Dv: So what is your brother sending? (with a relaxed posture).
Shan: I don’t know, he is playing it as a secret, but I hope it is some gadget.
Dv: Hmmm hmmm. Cool. Then let me have a small nap.
(The emotions inside Shan are like a small boy waiting to wear his new clothes which they got for his birthday with so much of expectations, after 20 mins Shan wakes up Dv).
Dv: Has the flight landed?
Shan: No, not yet, you want some coffee??
Dv: (with a yawn) Nope. If I have coffee, then I’ll surely not be able to sleep.
Shan: Cool, then I am buying you one (with a grin). (Shan brings the coffee and they both say a cheers over a cup of coffee, cheers to the foreign courier).
Dv: (As he sips the coffee)So what’s his name, have you seen him.
Shan: No I haven’t seen him, they call him Rat, but his name is Radhakrishnan.
Dv: Did you bring a board saying Radha Aka Rat (with an expression of wanting Shan to say yes).
Shan: Nopeee. (Knowing that he is driving Dv crazy).
Dv: Ok I am sure you are not a robot, I wish Rat is a Robot who scans and says, okies this is Vinayak’s brother hand him the parcel and exit.
Shan: (Laughs) When you are in an excited state, when you are in a state of dope, you do not know what you are doing but you just want to stay there and enjoy the moment.
Dv: okayyy (with an expression saying I got it), but still does he know you??
Shan: (with a lifted eye brow) I don’t think so, my brother has given him my number, he will call me once he is out.
Dv: But still…
Shan: Relaxo amigo, we will find him at once. (Shan takes out his mobiles opens Facebook, finds his brother’s friends and finds a pic of Rat), here you go.
Dv: At last the delivery boy from UK, he does have a good profile pic (Shan looks at Dv and feels good he is convinced), and I mean see the bridge in the background, looks great.
(As Shan looks at the moon between the clouds they chat for a while).
Shan: It’s been 25 mins since the flight arrived, come lets go.
Dv: Chalo yaara.

(Shan and Dv wait as Rat comes out of the Airport with a trolley, Shan feels like a kid who is gonna receive an award, excited but still holding it within him, there are people coming out of the Airport Rat walks out along with them and moves on to  take his next flight to his destination in which case he will be going into the security zone which is 20 mts away as Shan and Dv see Rat, Dv shouts go man, at once bro, Shan starts to run towards Rat and makes it up to Rat 10 mts before the Security zone where there is less noise and lot of room to talk).

Shan: (calls out) Radhaaa. (Rat turns, looks at Shan for a sec, and smiles, they have a conversation and Rat then hands him over the gift as Dv sees it from a distance and finds a glow in Shan’s face. Shan gets back with a huge smile and excited expression towards Dv and as they smile at each other, the camera moves out slowly and zooms out).

End of scene.

Note: There is a connection between the names in the Characters with History but to suit the modern era I have tweaked the names a little. Comments are welcome.

City Side, Country Side from My Side

This post is about the places I have been to, hope and wish the page grows day after day month after month and year after year. I Have decided not to mention anything about the place I live in right now or from the place I come, because in that case I might have lot to talk about that place. I’m just trying to keep my blog brief. The first City in my list is Mumbai, should I call it a coincidence or have I been lucky because I feel so content to talk about this place and a great way to start my travel.

Mumbai
There is a song from Delhi 6, the title song, but I would love to change the Lyric a bit since I have always related that song with this city
Yeh Mumbai hai meerae yaar...... Mumbai Bus ishq mohabat pyaar......

I had to travel from Bangalore to Mumbai for my project and it was the First time I was travelling by flight Go Air, man you should see how excited I was, like a child seeing something new for the first time (Dude it’s my first Flight Journey take it or leave it), that moment when there is a roller coaster in your stomach, when the flight takes off, whoa it’s an awesome feeling. Now back to the subject…

When the flight was getting close to Mumbai the Captain says the flight will Land in few mins, then I decide to take the first Looks of Mumbai, Its nice to see the Aerial view of a place you get to know what the place actually looks like (Never Judge a book by its Cover), When I saw Mumbai for the first time the aerial Image was so Disturbing, all I saw next to Airport, Blue tarpaulin covers. When I asked my friend what was it? He said they were all homes and it was the cherry (do not get offended I call it a cherry, I am just trying to be real with my writing) and there was so much blue I was concerned about the people living in the place their life and status(Happiness is where you feel it is right), when we landed the climate in Mumbai was so dull since it had been Raining, then we had to leave the Airport which was at Santa Cruz and had to go to Sher-e-punjab which was in Andheri East, then comes the next disappointment we take a cab where he asks where you want to go nothing else, another person gets into the Cab along with the driver as we move out of the Airport he asks AC or Non AC since it was raining we preferred a Non AC he says pay 700 we ask him why before the journey and he says Ithar aisaihe hae.. then we pay him we come out of the Airport and he asks us to switch cab into a Non AC Cab (What sort of switch and robbery is this), then the cab takes us to Sher-e-Punjab with little difficulty we reach our destination.

The most Lively City I have been to is Mumbai, if you are wondering what changed my mind…
Let’s start about the good things in Mumbai, in that case if has to be food first and it surely has to be Vada Pav, it’s a Potato Bonda between a Bun it has green mirchi to go along with it, its tasty and there is true thought about Mumbai's vada pav, “people stay alive just by feeding on to Vada Pavs in Mumbai”, Thanks to the Vada Pav. There were some good restaurants in and around the place I stayed, like Kebab corner, loved the Chicken tandoori there, Veg theme the food here was so Fresh and the Rotis there are too good, all these are decent and affordable restaurants. When it comes to Food we had some great time thanks to all the foodie lovers in my room, one such Instance we get back from office and its 9 pm and discussion about where to eat starts, and it lasts just for a minute, my colleague says let’s try Jaffer Briyani, Delhi darbar the Briyanis there are good, we search the web and make a call and our dinner plan is done, I find a beauty about Mumbai in this you call for a Dinner order at 11 pm or 12 pm and still you get Door delivery instantaneously, the Briyani was amazing, from the roadside fried ground nuts to the Dominos pizza, Mumbai has it all and at all time, there were so many options for food and there was never a Situation where we hesitated to eat a meal.

The autos and cabs, except for the First time disappointment with Cab we never had such situations after that but my respect grew for the Auto walas and Taxi walas, they all stick to the meter. One such situation was I took an auto from my Home to office and I got down at my stop, the auto guy takes his price sheet and sees the cost, its 37 bucks, I pay him 40 hoping he will not return the change decide to leave but to my surprise he returns me 3 bucks, they are not ready to take a penny more nor a penny less.

The Homes in Mumbai are small but each house is so sophisticated on the Inside. In Mumbai houses are mostly flats or the congested houses in Cherry's, one more thing which I noticed about Mumbai is the place is not flat like any plains like Chennai or Coimbatore or it is not fully Hilly like Ooty, it is a mixture of Both and the signals are less organised except in few places, coming back to the houses, most flats are normal on the outside, but when you get into the house they are so sophisticated in terms of appearance and comfort, people invest so much to their interiors and that is the way they try to differentiate themselves, and each home is unique in its way of look. Some might question Mumbai is a City so Traffic, population pollution congestion are all part of it, I agree to it, it is just that I’m trying to tell people are happy or rather trying to make use of what they have be it a single bedroom or a hall or just a room.

There are some great places in Mumbai from Sea Link that connects Bandra and Worli, Marine drive a place where you can spend time for yourself , Mumbai is one city which is lively all the time, be it early morning or Late night this city has the pulse to keep you going...

Silvassa
A place that comes under the Union territory, it comes under Daman or to be more precise its close to Vapi, you can find most Manufacturing Industries there for obvious reasons, since it is a Union territory you have excise benefits.

The life in Silvassa is simple and the place has moderate development, with few flats and a few malls, cost of living is very less so you can make a good living with a decent take home salary, but exposure to the outside world lies only in Tvs and communication. The hotels are good in Silvassa, of the hotels I stayed in, Loved Kamat and Pioneer.Liquor is cheap in Silvassa, you get all kinds of drinks with less price, it is even lesser when compared to Pondhicherry.

Never had the chance to visit places close by, but heard Daman was 40 Kms from Silvassa and has a beach with black sand. One more info about the place don know how true it is, if you marry a local girls in Silvassa the government gives you money and land, it is just to give a good economic position for that caste in that place, quite a good initiative.

To be continued....

The Beauty to pay from ur pocket..

I don't know how many of you'll feel the way I feel.It had been more than 8 months since I started working. One fine morning I was sitting in a restaurant in Mumbai for my breakfast.I was all alone so I did not have much things to think about  or talk about to another , then my mind started wandering. then the three basic w's came to my mind,Why what and when,Why am I in Mumbai?? What brought me to this point??When was the day?? The questions did not occur in the same fashion though and just for clarity purpose I have put it this way. Before I could answer any of these, my breakfast was served ,I had it and then the bill was brought it was little high, the hotel was costly place, so when I took my wallet to pay my bill I was so happy,I felt so proud to pay the bill, coz the cash which I paid was totally from my earning. It has taken 8 months for me to realize this moment of joy, the pride of paying from ones pocket feels great. The answer to my question and this incident have a common point of origin,It's the education that I gained brought me till here, its my job that I got through my education that brought me to this moment of Joy.If you can read this post then I am sure all of you'll are proud that you parents helped you'll to get some education and I'm really thankful to my DAD for helping me get  a good education. This was his dream to see me as an independent person who can stand up for himself..There are so many conclusions you can draw from this post but all I wanted to say was everybody will come across such pride moments acknowledge that moment and the reason behind that, it will surely make you happy so that you can spread the happiness and you will be able to put a smile on others face too, like the one I put on the Steward's face.

Wanna Be...

When I was small, I always remember my Mom saying, she wanted me to be a doctor, well she was a desperate doctor fan and wanted me to save many lives.
As I grew up my Dad wanted me to be a doctor, just like those amazing fathers he never forced me or insisted me into anything but just wanted me to be the best.
When I was in class 8 I was the captain of my basket ball team which was supposed to go for a inter school match and that did not happen,  then I thought I must be someone like Micheal Jordan or Kobe making it big in the basketball court.
When I was in 9th grade I played a little cricket, I loved playing cricket the professional way, and that’s when I knew, A small Sachin was within me but totally out of form, thought I will bring him to life, but screwed up at the district selections and knew that was not my fort..
When I was in class 10 I thought I should become a Chartered accountant coz my interest was more towards doing the toughest in the easiest group. But I did score a few good marks in few papers and landed in biology group, man an accountant was no more in my dreams and the best part I managed to have a few accountant friends.
During my 11th I thought I will become a doctor but was never so serious about it.
Saw the way Eminem rap and thought must do something out standing like him.
During my 12th my dad wanted me to become a doctor and he even said I will be a doctor, but the way I enjoyed school life I knew doctor was never gonna be a reality.
Then landed up in engineering, but that time I wanted to be a serious engineer.
During my college saw a few corruptions and scandals in politics and thought I must be a politician and bring a change, but that co exists in the Indian way so decide not to step in to it.
Saw too many movies the slow paced movies with a lot of emotion, movies that never had anything to tell, but those that gave a lasting feel of love and peace, I then decide to do a film, I thought I must try my hands in the so called direction.
A software engineer was next, these codes, these standards, and these deadlines everything seems interesting.

Everybody and every body wants to be somebody someday. Well even I wanted to be in the shoes of so many people, even my parents wanted me to fit in somewhere so that they can admire the way I fit into the place and serve the purpose, well the purpose it’s a different story, now to my point. Every one comes for a purpose but it is not necessary they should serve the purpose, you can’t expect Sachin to score a century every time he goes to bat, like wise you can’t be all, but you can for sure be someone. Oops should I blame the word someone coz it has some and one, yea I can be some of these for sure, but whatever it is be the one that you want to be, and surely someday you can turn back and feel happy about it.I really wanna be me, i mean the one in me…

Revolting Or Living??????

Laziness laziness this unseen brat was holding me from writing something and at last decided to knock him out.As a result here is something....

Early 1950’s:

  • People hesitated to wear western clothes.
  • English was just another medium.
  • Women lived in a circle fearing that if they come out of it, it would change the basic definition of their livelihood.
  • Power, name and fame belonged to a certain class.
  • We wanted to stand on our own, free from the clutches of foreign influences.
  • Virtues were values.
  • Environment less decayed and mankind evolved.

Early 2000’s:

  • There is no modernization without westernization stepping-in.
  • English has been the only medium that is understood by many.
  • Women are responsible to break the moulds, and are a source of inspiration.
  • Power belongs to someone who has money, name belongs to someone who has to ability to excel and fame to those who get noticed.
  • Mostly dependant on foreign sources for our income.
  • Money can kill virtues, dump values and reign superiority.
  • Environment and mankind are being eroded from the life space.

Note: The people, who read my post might be wondering whether I’m a revolutionist, never have I or never will I be one. I’m just another being walking around, wondering, why these changes happened and still living with the changes. I’m just another being hoping for a miracle, that teaches the beauty of life and the beauty of living this moment.

Love For The Long Road (HIGHWAYS

The highways r one of the most beautiful creations of man according to me coz when I travelled from Salem to Bangalore I witnessed elegance and beauty in the highways.

As I was peeping through my window, the light was slowly setting down for its smaller light to rise later. When the sun was slowly setting between the clouds, to see it in the ever stretching sky was a real awe. As I gazed more on the beautiful nature, the sky turned out to be an ever ending pool of water. The water looked calm and patient, it even gave me a feel of jumping into it. Booommm!!!!!!! Then I realized, it is the sky and its duo cloud and not water. The sun appeared as if it was resting on the cloud after its long toil. I wish that one day, I sit on the clouds with my legs stretched and my hands at the back supporting my body weight in such a posture and enjoy the recipe this calm, cool and beautiful sky+cloud offers with innocence and love..

P.S: The clouds sky and sun appeared majestic when seen from the highways, coz the highways are spacious, less populated and less polluted.

yrotcidartnoc erutan-HuMaN RaCe

A unique creation
Complicated to understand(The way we think)
Takes pride when it wins
Afraid to lose
Wants to be on the top
Not ready to accept its failure
Works to attain the so called success
But forgets the wounds it created in its path
Loves competition
Hates people
